Combustion and Emissions Analyzers
PCA® 400 – Portable Combustion and Emissions Analyzer
Bacharach’s PCA® 400 offers everything you and your technicians need to commission, tune, maintain and certify any boiler. It is perfect for spot-checking and tuning your engines with the high-range CO sensor and available sample conditioner. Whether it’s boiler combustion or emissions testing of your natural gas, stationary genset or mobile fleet vehicles, monitoring your emissions is fast, easy and accurate.
Users have the option to save measured data in the unit as discreet tests, or stream it live via Bluetooth® communications to a PC or other smart hand-held device for compliance reporting.
Reports are easily and quickly generated to satisfy compliance requirements. Interchangeable power options (rechargeable Li-Ion, ‘AA’ alkalines or line power) ensure the unit is always ready for use.
Probes and hoses come in a variety of lengths and materials to satisfy a wide range of applications, including NOx, SO2 and other requirements.

*Note: The PCA® 400 calculates CO2 value based upon other measured values during the combustion process. It does not measure CO2 directly.

Sample Conditioner
Bacharach’s active sample conditioner is used to enhance the performance of the PCA® 400 Combustion and Emissions Analyzer in heavy industrial and commercial settings. The PCA® 400 provides accurate readings for CO, O2 and NO with a standard probe. Bacharach also offers optional VitonTM tubing with the sample conditioner to eliminate sample dropout, ensuring accurate results in applications where NO2 and SO2 measurements are necessary.
The sample conditioner removes water vapor from the stack gas sample, preventing the formation of water droplets inside the analyzer’s probe hose. Water in the sample hose could absorb a portion of the gas sample and result in lower than actual readings of NO2and SO2.
The water extracted from the gas sample is pulled out of the thermoelectric (Peltier) cooler and into a water catch pot. The dry, conditioned flue-gas sample is then passed through to the PCA® 400 for analysis, ensuring a clean, dry, accurate air sample. This also prevents water passing into the instrument and possibly damaging the sensors or other components.

Monoxor® Plus
The Monoxor® Plus is the perfect tool for home/safety inspectors, maintenance personnel and HVAC contractors who need to monitor CO in ambient air or stack gases. ECA 450
The ECA 450 is an industrial grade analyzer ideal for professionals concerned about combustion efficiency, environmental compliance, or both. Refrigerant Monitors
MVR-300™
The MVR-300™ detector is specifically designed to provide continuous monitoring for refrigerants associated with high-efficiency, high volume refrigerant cooling and heating systems, such as VRF/VRV (Variable Refrigerant Flow/Variable Refrigerant Volume) systems. Typical applications include hotels, dormitories, hospitals, office buildings, and apartment buildings.
The MVR-300™ audible and visual alarms alert occupants and simultaneously communicate to Building Management Systems/Building Automation Systems (BMS/BAS). Two on-board relays can be used to close valves, activate alarm devices and exhaust fans or initiate emergency calls to rescue teams.
The on-board Modbus RTU interface provides real-time information about concentrations, status and settings. It also enables custom configuration of the MVR-300™ to any application specific requirements using multiple Modbus registers.

MGS-550
Bacharach’s advanced MGS-550 gas detector can utilize any combination of sensor technologies, including electrochemical, semiconductor (MOS), catalytic bead or infrared, in a single platform for unparalleled detection capability. The MGS-550 can easily be connected to any central control system using the current and volt analog output or the Modbus RTU interface. With three user assignable relays, it can also function as a stand-alone unit without the need to wire alarm devices back to a central system.
The straightforward menu structure is identical throughout the platform reducing the amount of training required for installing and maintaining this product family. At any point in time, the instrument can be upgraded from a one sensor to a two sensor system by simply registering another sensor. MGS-150
The MGS-150 Gas Detector can meet almost any gas detection need with multiple sensor options for real-time monitoring of refrigerants, oxygen, combustible and toxic gases. It includes user-selectable current or volt analog outputs, allowing connectivity to most BMS, SCADA or central control systems. Status LEDs and a buzzer are integrated for local alarming while an onboard relay with user-adjustable set-point can connect to external visual/audible alarms.
A variety of enclosure options, including an economical IP41 housing and a dust/water tight IP66 housing, allow the MGS-150 transmitters to be placed in the toughest environments. Special remote sensor configurations are available for applications where mounting in vent pipes, duct work or other tight spaces is required.

MGS-250
Bacharach’s MGS-250 Infrared Refrigerant Gas Detector is the leader in performance and flexibility. It can be configured as either a broadband sensor used for gross leak detection, or as a gas-specific version that’s pre-calibrated and characterized for precision response to individual refrigerants. The MGS-250 is the economical solution for detecting refrigerants without the limitations posed by solid-state sensor technologies.
Advanced infrared sensing technology makes the MGS-250 immune to cross sensitivities from combustible and toxic gases, as well as changes in temperature and humidity. The infrared sensor provides low-level leak detection and delivers up to 5 to 7 years of virtually maintenance-free operation. The MGS-250 has an alpha-numeric LED display, status indicator, on-board relay, and alarm to alert personnel when levels have exceeded the preset limit.

MGD-100
The MGD-100 is an affordable and scalable gas detection system used to provide real-time monitoring of refrigerant and combustible gases, ammonia and carbon dioxide. The unit alarms when pre-set thresholds are exceeded. Alarms are monitored by a centralized controller, which can alert personnel of potential hazardous conditions via an onboard buzzer and LED alarm indicators.
The unit can be configured from single-sensor, one-alarm level system to larger scale systems consisting of 6 sensors with 2 alarm levels. The instruments are connected to and powered by the MGD controller. A variety of housing options are available including IP41 and IP66 rated enclosures, which enable direct placement of the MGD-100 in a variety of environments. For special applications, the sensor can be remotely mounted from the instrument.

Leak Detectors
PGM-IR
The PGM-IR offers superior performance and functionality for low ppm level leak detection of refrigerants, Carbon Dioxide, Nitrous Oxide or Sulfur Hexafluoride. A built-in library of 50 refrigerants enables the PGM-IR to accurately detect the smallest leaks at their source. The unit is immune to sudden changes in temperature or humidity and to over-exposure. The PGM-IR requires no zeroing of positive readings with extended exposure to gas. It has a data logging capacity of up to 200 readings.
With its high flow rate, real-time ppm concentrations or TWA values are displayed instantly with corresponding audible tick-rate indicator to precisely pinpoint leaks. Rapid clearing time enables accurate ambient-air leak detection using the probe along a chiller or display-case. A re-zeroing algorithm and filter/bladder system allows the unit to be used in contaminated areas without affecting target gas readings. H-10 PRO
The H-10 PRO is a highly responsive universal refrigerant leak detector using Bacharach’s tried-and-true heated diode sensor technology. It’s ultra-sensitive to all halogen-based, non-flammable CFC, HFC and HCFC refrigerants for reliable use in a wide range of refrigerant leak detection applications.
The H-10 PRO has a long probe (4.5 ft.) for detecting leaks in hard-to-reach areas, visual and audible indicators to show relative leak sizes and an auto-zeroing feature (automatic mode only) for finding leaks in backgrounds where target gas is present. It has an internal sensor calibration reference to ensure optimum performance.
